Tayebibidgoli demands more from IR Iran teammates

Kuwait City: Player of the Match Hossein Tayebibidgoli wants his Islamic Republic of Iran teammates to be fully focused on their title aspirations following their 10-1 victory over Chinese Taipei in Group C of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 on Friday.

The win sealed Iran's passage into the quarter-finals, while Chinese Taipei must beat Indonesia, who stunned Lebanon 7-2, on Sunday for a chance to advance.

Kuwait City: Vietnam head coach Diego Guistozzi was extremely proud of his charges for overpowering a strong Saudi Arabia side to emerge 3-1 winners in Group D of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 on Friday. 

After controlling most of the first half, Vietnam were forced to play defensively as Saudi Arabia pressed hard for the equaliser with goalkeeper Humood Aldahhan acting as their fifth attacking player.

Vietnam, however, handled the pressure well before taking advantage of Saudi Arabia’s aggression with two second half goals to seal the win.

Kogure praises Japan’s composure in huge win over Korea Republic

Kuwait City: Japan head coach Kenichiro Kogure praised his players for keeping their composure against a resilient Korea Republic side, before powering to a 6-0 win on Matchday Two of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 on Friday. 

Three goals in either half saw the three-time champions bag their first win of the tournament, reigniting their hopes of reaching the knockout stage. 

After taking a two-goal lead by the seventh minute, Japan were forced to play more defensively as Korea Republic initiated power play, but the Samurai Blue handled the pressure exceptionally well to keep a clean sheet.
