Kuwait City: Second-half substitute Sobirdzhon Gulyakov hit a three-minute hat-trick as Tajikistan romped to a 12-0 victory over Bhutan in their second match of the 2014 AFC U-16 Championship qualifiers on Monday.
In the battle of the Japanese coaches it was Tajikistan’s Chikashi Suzuki that got the better of compatriot Kazunori Ohara as the Central Asians got into double figures against the side from the Himalayan kingdom, with Khokimdzhon Khasanov opening the floodgates with 13 minutes at the Ali Sabah Al Salem Stadium played.
Six minutes later it was 2-0 courtesy of Hasan Muhammadjoni and after team-mate Rustam Tolibov scored the first of his hat-trick 60 seconds later Muhammadjoni struck his second and Tajikistan’s fourth in the 27th minute to complete the first-half scoring.
Tajikistan’s dominance continued in the second half with Tolibov getting his second four minutes after the interval and completed his treble in the 61st minute after Khudoydod Uzaqov got his name on the score sheet.
In the 63rd minute Suzuki brought of Tolibov and replaced him with fellow midfielder Gulyakov, who made an immediate impact by finding the net just three minutes after entering the fray before scoring two more in the space of two minutes (67th and 69th) to take Tajikistan’s tally to ten.
Himatullo Malodustov, a 68th minute replacement for Muhammadjoni, made it 11-0 before Gulyakov capped the win with his fourth and Tajikistan’s 12th one minute from full time to take the Central Asians to the top of Group A.
