Bishkek: Kyrgyzstan captain Aidar Mambetaliev scored a last-minute equaliser to earn hosts Kyrgyzstan a 3-3 draw with Oman as three-team Group F of the AFC U-16 Championship 2014 qualifiers kicked-off at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium on Wednesday.
Yazod Al Siyabi silenced the 2500-strong home crowd by putting Oman one up with ten minutes played but two goals in a four minute spell from midfielders Almaz Ibraimov (31st) and Ernist Batyrkanov (35th) gave Kyrgyzstan a 2-1 lead at the break.
The Group F hosts held the advantage until the 72nd minute when Salaah Al Yayaei pulled Oman level before Al Siyabi struck for a second time four minutes later to make it 3-2 to the Gulf Sultanate.
Al Siyabi’s goal looked to have sealed all three points for Oman but in the 89th minute Mambetaliev found the net to earn Kyrgyzstan a share of the spoils.
