#U17WAC draw to unveil thrilling Road to Indonesia 2024
Kuala Lumpur: Eight teams will discover their challengers in the official draw ceremony for Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ Qualifiers at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on May 18, 2023 at 3pm local time.
Having each topped their respective groups in the first round of qualifying that took place between April 22 to 30, 2023, the cast of Thailand (Group A), Australia (Group B), Vietnam (Group C), Bangladesh (Group D), Korea Republic (Group E), India (Group F), Philippines (Group G) and the Islamic Republic of Iran (Group H) will be divided into two groups of four for the second and final stage of their qualifying journey.
Kuala Lumpur: Australia and India booked their places in Round 2 of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers with wins over Chinese Taipei and Myanmar respectively on Friday.
Australia’s 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei confirmed them as the Group B winners while India edged Myanmar 2-1 to top Group F with the two joining Vietnam (Group C) and the Philippines (Group G) in advancing from Round 1.
Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, meanwhile, registered wins to set up winner-takes-all meetings in Groups A, D and E respectively while Nepal breathed life into their Group H campaign with victory over Jordan.
