Kuala Lumpur: Japan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia got their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 qualifying campaigns off to bright starts as Monday's Matchday Two saw exciting action across Groups A to D.

There is, however, still much to be done in the bid to reach Uzbekistan 2023 with only the 10 group winners assured of automatic places in the Finals.

Al Khobar: Saudi Arabia were in unstoppable form as they romped to an 11-0 win over Maldives in their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers Group A opener on Monday.

Uzbekistan, playing in the Qualifiers for exposure ahead of next year's Finals on home soil, defeated Myanmar 3-0.

Qualifiers - Group B: Bangladesh edge Bhutan; Qatar off to a flyer

Arad: Bangladesh and Qatar registered crucial wins in their bid to qualify for the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 on Monday.

Bangladesh edged Bhutan 2-1 to move to four points while Qatar kicked off their Group B qualifying campaign with a 3-1 defeat of Nepal.

Qualifiers - Group C: Japan flex muscles; Palestine cruise past Guam

Vientiane: Japan opened their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers campaign with a 4-0 victory over Laos, while Palestine secured their first win of their campaign, defeating Guam 5-0 in Group C at the National Stadium KM16 in Laos on Monday.

Japan’s win is a boost in their bid to qualify for the Finals, with only the top team from the group assured of an automatic place in Uzbekistan 2023.

Qualifiers - Group D: Syria continue sizzling form, winning start for Jordan

Amman: Syria continued their winning run in Group D of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 Qualifiers with a 10-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) on Monday. 

Syria took a huge step towards qualifying for Uzbekistan 2023 as seven different players found the back of the net to lead the five-team Group D with six points to their name. 

Group hosts Jordan flexed their muscles in the second half to open their campaign with a 3-1 win against Turkmenistan.
