Kuala Lumpur: Kuala Lumpur City FC are now just one victory away from winning a historic AFC Cup™ title – their fairytale run made all the more impressive by the fact that the Malaysia Super League club are in their debut campaign in the continental competition.
Bojan Hodak’s side would lift the coveted silverware by beating Oman’s Al Seeb Club in the final on October 22, but the City Boys wouldn’t be the first side from Malaysia to win the AFC Cup. That honour belongs to Johor Darul Ta’zim, who got their hands on the trophy back in 2015 with Hodak also playing a key role in the success.
