Changshu: Jordan’s Bahaa Faisal says he and his teammates are ready to brush off the cold weather in China to mount a serious challenge for the AFC U23 Championship 2018.
Temperatures across all four venues for this year’s championship – Changzhou, Jiangyin, Changshu and Kunshan – have dropped towards freezing, but the Al Wehdat star said the conditions would not adversely affect his team’s championship chances.
"We are fully ready for the Finals here,” said the 22-year-old. “We came to compete for the title and we are ready to win it.
"The weather is a little colder than we are used to in Jordan, but that will not be a problem for us. We are ready for any challenge. The players trained yesterday in the cold with a lot of motivation and we’re confident it will not affect us.”
