Jiangyin: Thailand captain Chenrop Samphaodi has vowed that his team will not make the mistake again that caused them to lose 1-0 to DPR Korea in their opening AFC U23 Championship China 2018 Group B tie on Wednesday.
DPR Korea scored their winner just two minutes into the match through Ri Hun and Samphaodi said loose marking was the reason for Thailand going behind so early.
Choe Ju-song’s through pass caught the Thai defence unprepared as it found Ri Hun in the final third to slip the ball pass Nont Muanggnam, giving Ju Song-il’s side the only goal they needed to seal the win.
It was a setback they couldn't recover from and with their championship hopes now on the line after just one match, the Thailand skipper wants his teammates to cut out the mistakes in their remaining group ties.
Both are challenging ties as Thailand play defending champions Japan on Saturday with Palestine to follow three days later.

Jiangyin: Ri Hun’s second minute goal secured DPR Korea a 1-0 win over Thailand in Group B of the AFC U23 Championship China 2018 on Wednesday.
The win for DPR Korea meant they continued their undefeated streak since the Qualifiers last July.
DPR Korea took an early lead after Ri Hun beat goalkeeper Nont Muangngam to open the scoring in the second minute, courtesy of Choe Ju-song’s through pass.
The synergy between Ri Hun, An Song-il and Jo Kwang-myong was impressive, as they pounded the Thai defence with a barrage of attempts.
In the 30th minute, Kwang-myong dribbled through the middle, before passing to Kim Yu-song but his shot struck the bar

Jiangyin: Japan got their defence of the AFC U23 Championship title with a 1-0 win over Palestine in their Group B opener on Wednesday.
Ko Itakura’s first half goal sealed victory for Japan, placing them level with DPR Korea at the top of the standings.
Japan dominated possession in the opening minutes and in their first real attempt, Shion Inoue picked up a loose ball in the box but struck the bar in the fifth minute at the Jiangyin Stadium.
Palestine, however, held formation tightly and looked to play on the counter, but Ko found an opening and was left unguarded after dribbling outside the box to hit home in the 20th minute.
Whenever in possession, Ayman Sandouqa’s charges tried to make the best of every run, but the defending champions were apt in defensive situations.

Kunshan: Ante Milicic insists Australia have learned from the difficulties their senior national side endured during qualifying for the FIFA World Cup Finals last year and will not be taking their opening game of Group D at the AFC U23 Championship 2018 against Syria lightly.
Milicic was assistant coach to Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou when the Australians scraped past a determined Syria on their way to securing a spot at Russia 2018, and the 43-year-old knows his team face a similar challenge when they meet Hussein Afash’s side on Thursday.
“Look at those games that our senior national team played against Syria,” said Milicic. “I’ve a lot of respect for that team and when we played those games players like Omar Khribin, Omar Al Somah and Firas Al Khatib showed they are fantastic footballers and I'm sure they’ll have some future stars at this tournament.
