Bipin Singh’s last-gasp winner seals Indian Super League double for Mumbai City
Goa: A 90th-minute goal from Bipin Singh completed an Indian Super League double for Mumbai City FC, as the League Shield winners defeated ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 in the competition’s play-off final on Saturday.
Bipin capitalised on a last-gasp goalkeeping error from ATK Mohun Bagan’s Arindam Bhattacharya to stroke home the winner after being supplied by Bartholomew Ogbehce, who showed great poise to set up what proved to be the decisive goal.
Mumbai City’s late winner came after the two sides had traded goals in the first half, as Sergio Lobera’s side became the second team in Indian Super League history to win the playoffs having finished on top of the regular season table.
