Skocic: I will do my best to take IR Iran to Qatar 2022
Tehran: National team head coach Dragan Skocic has not paused since returning to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
With Team Melli facing a huge challenge in the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023, Skocic has been busy scouting players ahead of Iran resuming their Group C campaign in October.
Back-to-back defeats to Bahrain and Iraq mean Iran have to win their remaining four matches to advance to the third round of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers and Skocic is determined to have the best players available.

Kuala Lumpur: They are Asian football’s great managers, motivators and masterminds.

Dushanbe: Tajikistan national team head coach Usmon Toshev has taken advantage of a three-week break in the country’s domestic league, calling up 24 players for a six-day training camp in the nation’s capital.
The players will participate in two training sessions per day in preparation for their first international matches in 2020.
Tajikistan are scheduled to meet Uzbekistan in a friendly international in Tashkent on September 3, before travelling to southwest to play against United Arab Emirates later that week.
Sydney: Football Federation Australia (FFA) announced on Sunday Ante Milicic has stepped down from the role of head coach of Australia’s senior women’s national football team, the Matildas, and will honour his pre-existing three-year contract with incoming A-League club Macarthur FC.
Milicic was appointed to the role of head coach of the Matildas in February 2019, and over the past 18 months oversaw Australia’s successful qualification for the women’s football tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and helped Australia reach the Round of 16 at the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019.
Milicic signed on to become the inaugural head coach of Macarthur FC in May 2019 prior to last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, and while he was due to complete his time with the Matildas at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the rescheduling of the Games to 2021 due to the unprecedented, global COVID-19 pandemic has regrettably forced a decision on Milicic’s coaching future to be made.
