Muscat: Oman have arranged international friendlies against Jordan and India in mid-March, as the Reds convene for a series of training camps ahead of the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The Oman Football Association announced dates for two training camps, the first of which will be held in Muscat on March 8 to 11, before moving base to Dubai on March 11 to 26.
The two friendlies will be held in Dubai and will mark Oman's first international outing since 2019, with Branko Ivankovic's charges going up against Jordan on March 20, with India scheduled five days later.
Wu Lei happy to continue learning as Espanyol eye promotion
Madrid: RCD Espanyol winger Wu Lei is happy to be learning and developing despite experiencing second division football in the Spanish La Liga.
China PR international Wu Lei made his Espanyol debut in 2019 and has lived through the highs and lows as the Barcelona-based outfit qualified for the UEFA Europa League in his first season, only to crash into the La Liga 2 in their last campaign.
Despite their recent struggles, Espanyol are well placed for a speedy return to the top flight as they sit second in the standings on 52 points, two behind RCD Mallorca.
