Stajcic locked in as Philippines look towards Australia/New Zealand 2023

Manila: The Philippines women’s national team have retained the services of the man who guided them to a historic FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification, announcing the extension of head coach Alen Stajcic’s contract on Friday.

Stajcic, along with his technical staff, will retain their roles until next year’s global showpiece, where the Maldtias are set to appear for the first time in their history.

Daegu: Just over three months since Alexandre Gama said goodbye to his Buriram United players, the Brazilian tactician will have to overcome those familiar faces if he is to steer Daegu FC into the 2022 AFC Champions League group stage.

Gama, who won two league titles and a host of cup competitions during his first spell with the Thai club, stepped down from his second stint towards the end of last year before taking the reins at K League 1 side Daegu FC ahead of the 2022 campaign.
