Leogang: Korea Republic lost 2-0 to Senegal in their final 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia tune-up match on Monday.
Korea Republic, led by head coach Shin Tae-yong, conceded twice in the second half in a match played behind closed doors at Das.Goldberg Stadium in Grodig, Austria.
This was Korea Republic's last tune-up before they head to their FIFA World Cup base camp in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Tuesday.
Korea Republic posted one win, one draw and two losses in four matches since Shin announced his provisional roster on May 14.
The Taeguk Warriors started with a 2-0 win over Honduras on May 28, but fell 3-1 to Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 1 at home.
After cutting three players for the final 23-man squad and arriving at their pre-World Cup training camp in Austria, Korea Republic played to a 0-0 draw with Bolivia on Thursday, followed by Monday's loss to Senegal.

Set for their ninth consecutive FIFA World Cup, Korea Republic have had a number of pre-Russia 2018 warm-up matches over the last six months with a wide variety of opponents and a series of mixed results. Wins over Moldova, Latvia and Honduras; a draw with Jamaica; losses to Northern Ireland, Poland and Bosnia and Herezegovina.
At the time of writing, Shin Tae-yong's side are yet to face Bolivia and Senegal in their final ties before they kick off their World Cup campaign against Sweden on June 18, but it seems the side are yet to settle on a line-up with a 3-5-2 formation the latest experiment in the defeat to Bosnia.

Eleven years after the foundation of AFC, DPR Korea were pitted against Australia, South Africa and Korea Republic in the first round of qualifying for the 1966 FIFA World Cup in England.
