Korea Republic kick off final training camp for Olympic playoff against China PR
Seoul: Korea Republic, seeking a first appearance at the Women's Olympic football tournament, reported for a month-long training camp on Monday.
Korea will take on China PR next month in a two-legged playoff for a spot at the Tokyo Olympics. Korea will host the first leg on February 19 in Jeju, with the return leg in Suzhou, China, five days later.
Korea Republic advanced to the playoff after finishing top of Group A of the final round of the Qualifiers while China were second behind Australia in Group B.
Education City and Ahmad Bin Ali stadiums to host FIFA Club World Cup 2020
Zurich: Following confirmation that, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and related quarantine measures required by the New Zealand authorities, Auckland City FC will be unable to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, FIFA has adapted the competition’s match schedule.
The competition format remains unchanged, with the opening match forfeited. The tournament will now be staged at Education City and Ahmad Bin Ali Stadiums, while Khalifa International Stadium, which was originally due to host two games, will not be used.
