Muhadov appointed Turkmenistan head coach ahead of Asian Qualifiers
Ashgabat: Rovshen Muhadov is new head coach of the Turkmenistan national team, returning to the role he held more than two decades prior.
Muhadov’s first competitive matches in charge will likely come in June, when Turkmenistan continues their bid to top Group H in the current stage of Asian Qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.
The 59-year-old was appointed by following a decision by the Turkmenistan Football Federation Executive Committee, which met on Friday to confirm a new boss ahead of June’s Asian Qualifiers fixtures.
