Venues & kick-off times confirmed for Women’s Qualifiers in Sydney
Sydney: Football Federation Australia (FFA) on Wednesday announced the match venues and kick-off times for the forthcoming Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers to be held in Sydney, Australia.
The first two matchdays will be played at Campbelltown Stadium in Leumeah on Monday, February 3 and Thursday, February 6, with the third and final matchday to be held at Western Sydney Stadium in Parramatta on Sunday, February 9.

Vietnam have been in intensive training for the Qualifiers and will head to Jeju Island, Korea Republic for the Qualifiers on February 3-9 as the Southeast Asian nation look to qualify for the Olympics after a stellar 2019 which saw them winning the AFF Women’s Championship and SEA Games.
The Olympic Qualifiers will be a tougher ask but charismatic captain Huynh Nhu believes Vietnam will seal one of the two berths available to Tokyo 2020.
De Vanna left out as Matildas name Tokyo Qualifiers squad
Sydney: Matildas coach Ante Milicic included a wealth of stars, but not Lisa De Vanna, as his 20-player AFC Women’s Olympic Qualifiers Final Round squad was revealed on Wednesday.
Australia will compete against group hosts China PR, as well as Chinese Taipei and Thailand from February 3 to 9 in Wuhan, with the group’s top two sides to advance to the final qualification play-offs in March.
Japan's FIFA Women's World Cup-winning squad to open Torch Relay
Tokyo: The members of Japan's FIFA Women’s World Cup-winning squad from 2011 will open the domestic leg of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay, the Olympic and Paralympic Organising Committee announced on Tuesday.
The leg, known as the "Grand Start", is due to take place at the J-Village National Training Centre in Fukushima on March 26, 2020.
