Jordan defeat Lebanon to end Our Game tournament in resounding fashion


Charentsavan: Jordan concluded their participation in the Armenia “Our Game” women’s friendly tournament with a 6-0 win against Lebanon at the Charentsavan City Stadium on Monday.

Jordan finished third with four points, one behind hosts Armenia who shared a 2-2 draw with tournament winners Lithuania in the other match of the day.

The Jordanians ended the first half with a comfortable 3-0 lead, with Maysa Jbarah opening the scoring on 17 minutes. Rouzbahan Fraij doubled their lead three minutes later while Luna Al Masri scored the third in the 38th.

Fraij scored her second three minutes into the second half before Jbarah scored Jordan’s fifth in the 61st minute with Leen Al Btoush sealing the win in the 72nd.

Jordan head coach David Nascimento praised the overall performance of his players during the tournament, which served as preparation for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022 Qualifiers.

“All the players performed during the tournament, especially in today’s match,” said the Portuguese.

“We saw some positives and also some negative sides, which we should be improve on.”
