Al Soma commits future to Al Ahli Saudi FC
Jeddah: Doha: Four-time Saudi League champions Al Ahli Saudi FC have announced that Syrian forward Omar Al Soma has renewed his contract with the team until 2024.
Since joining the Jeddah giants in 2014, the 31-year-old forward helped the team win the 2015-2016 Saudi Pro League title and recently became the all-time top scorer of the Saudi League.

Al Soma started his professional career with Al Futowa in 2008 before moving to Kuwait to join Al Qadsia in 2011 where he won two Kuwait League titles and was the 2013-2014 top scorer.
His impressive performances with Al Qadsia earned him a move in 2014 to Saudi Arabia where he finished as the top scorer of the Saudi League in three consecutive seasons.
Al Soma is also the current top scorer in the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 with seven goals in five matches for Syria, who are leading Group A.
