Buenos Aires: Japan produced a sensational performance to defeat Spain 3-2 to seal a place in the final of the 2018 Youth Olympics women's futsal tournament on Monday.
The East Asians will face Portugal, who advanced to the final after cruising to a 16-2 win over Bolivia in their semi-final.
The final will be a repeat of the Group D tie, which Portugal won 2-0, but Japan's confidence will be soaring after their triumph over Group C winners Spain.
The Europeans had headed into the clash on the back of a perfect record of four wins in the group stage, having scored 39 goals and conceding only five.
