ANFA recognises importance of futsal development
Kathmandu: The Asian Football Federation (AFC) delegation conducted a three-day assessment visit to All Nepal Football Federation (ANFA) with the aim of developing and helping further develop the sport in the country.
“ANFA is willing to work closely with the AFC Futsal & Beach Soccer Development team towards the development of futsal in this country as it is one of the development aspects of football and ANFA will give its full support in the next three days,” said ANFA General Secretary Indra Man Tuladhar on Saturday.
“I would also like to thank the AFC Administration for assisting ANFA to create a futsal development programme and competition.”
Head of AFC Futsal & Beach Soccer Development Ali Targholizadeh, who led the team, explained the purpose and objectives of the visit and the importance of futsal as a developing tool for football.
“Most importantly is the direction of ANFA towards the development of futsal in this country and willingness to work closely with the AFC Futsal & Beach Soccer Development Team,” said Ali Targholizadeh.
“Futsal is a young sport in Nepal, therefore ANFA may need to work hard in the next few years and the AFC feels strongly that Nepal has great potential to prevail in Asia. I would like to thank ANFA for their full cooperation and hospitality given.”
The AFC team will continue its perseverance and responsibilities in conducting meetings, field visits, and inspections.
