Football activities halted for 14 days in Jordan

Amman: Football activities have been suspended in Jordan for 14 days after five Al Faisaly players tested positive for COVID-19.

The Jordan Football Association said the suspension of football activities was in line with the health procedures that are in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The suspension is effective Friday and halts not just the Jordan Pro League but all other competitions and activities, the Jordan FA said in a statement.

The Jordan Pro League season is still in its infancy, with Al Wehdat leading the standings with a perfect record of four wins to sit one point ahead of Al Hussein.
