Kuala Lumpur: Futsal development took a step forward across the Continent as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan concluded various AFC Futsal courses in their respective countries in December.
Seventeen participants attended the AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching course in the state of Perak, Malaysia which kicked off on December 26.
Perak Football Association Vice President Dato Yadzan B Muhammad and General Secretary Tuan HJ Aziz B Yeop Jamaluddin motivated the participants during the opening ceremony, and also commended the AFC for the support in organising the course.
Head Instructor Chiew Chun Yong said he was glad to see coaches continuing to be involved in the development of the sport which would raise the standards of futsal in Malaysia.
Chiew was assisted by Hasrinizam B Hasim. The course consists of two practical and theory examinations each.
Saudi Arabia also concluded the AFC Futsal Level 1 Coaching course in Dammam with 18 participants.
Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) Futsal Committee Chairman Naser Alsaadi, who gave the opening speech, said: “On behalf of the SAFF, I would like to thank the AFC for organising the course and wish success to the instructor Essa Falah Saadoun and the participants.
“It is important for futsal to grow and develop, and this course is part of that development.”
