South Asia Domestic Wrap: ATK seal title in style

Mumbai: ATK FC made it a record-setting hat-trick of Indian Super League titles while the end-of-season awards were also presented.

ISL: ATK FC complete hat-trick of titles

ATK FC made history by lifting the ISL trophy for a record third time on Saturday, defeating Chennaiyin FC 3-1 in the final on Saturday.

The win was head coach Antonio Habas’ second title triumph with ATK and sets them up nicely for the challenges that await.

As for the League awards, ISL Shield Winner’s FC Goa striker Hugo Boumous was named Most Valuable Player for his 10 goals and numerous assists.

The Golden Boot award went to Nerijus Valskis of Chennaiyin the Emerging Player of the Season honour went to Sumit Rathi from ATK FC.

Bengaluru FC goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (pictured below) lifted the Golden Glove award for keeping 11 clean sheets out of the 19 matches played.

Bangladesh: Abahani Dhaka stay ahead

Sunday Chizoba scored all four goals as Abahani Dhaka defeated Muktijoddha SKC to stay top of the Bangladesh Premier League.

Dhaka are ahead of Abahani Chittagong – who defeated Bashundhra Kings 4-3 in a thriller - on goal difference with both teams on 13 points.
