Kuala Lumpur: Asian football’s passionate fans can now get even closer to the action as the-AFC.com launches its latest live score feature, which will serve as a one-stop hub of the latest results in the leagues across all 47 of the AFC Member Associations.
In addition to the live score feature, the-AFC.com will give fans the opportunity to follow the latest table standings, fixtures and scorers while there will be a further expansions including video highlights, interviews, and close integration with the AFC’s digital streaming platform for MAs - mycujoo - in the next phase.
AFC General Secretary, Dato’ Windsor John said: “Asia is home to the largest football ‘stadium’ on the planet. We are a diverse Continent with some of the world’s most passionate fans and, with more than 10 zones, football literally never sleeps in Asia.
“The AFC’s Digital properties, including the-AFC.com, have undergone significant enhancement in the past two years. We are increasing our fan focus and this new feature further underlines our desire to grow the game.
“It will also pave the way to bring greater attention to our leagues, clubs and Member Associations, particularly where results are not readily available or accessible as well as stimulate more promotional opportunities between the AFC and its MAs.

Kuala Lumpur: The importance of data building and management has taken greater significance across the globe in recent years and the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) determination to embrace the importance of the digital age was further underlined when it introduced the AFC Competition Management System (CMS) in August 2016.
As part of the AFC’s commitment to strengthen the capabilities of its Member Associations, the state-of-the-art CMS allows Member Associations to control and manage all aspects of their competitions across every stage of a season.
Launched in collaboration with Genius Sports, a global leader in sports technology and developers of the FIFA Connect platform, the CMS has been modernising the way Member Associations manage competitions, saving valuable time and resources and empowering them to take greater control in data generation.

Dubai: A delegation from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted visits to UAE Pro League clubs throughout last week to oversee the Pro League Committee’s implementation of the commercial sustainability project in the areas of “Academies” and “Marketing and Media”, as part of the AFC President’s development initiatives programme which runs through to 2020.
Receiving the delegation was PLC CEO Waleed Al Hosani, and the two parties discussed details of the project and its importance to the development of academies, marketing and media sectors at clubs and the league.
The development project aims to boost the culture of sport professionalism which the PLC places as an objective in its 2017-2020 strategic plan, targeting the development of work systems within UAE Pro League clubs, especially in the areas of academies, marketing and media.
