In February, both the 2020 AFC Champions League and 2020 AFC Cup got underway and was in the thick of the action.

In March, the AFC began our #BreakTheChain public awareness campaign on the COVID-19 epidemic to promote the guidelines and best practices put in place by the World Health Organization (WHO).

AFC's #BreakTheChain campaign


The #BreakTheChain campaign continued to gather overwhelming support from close to 100 players and officials, while there was also a chance to take a look back at Asian football's rich history with exclusive features on the Asian Club Championships of Taj Tehran (1970) and Al Hilal (2000).

Meanwhile, despite the COVID-19 pandemic that wrecked havoc with the game globally, football returned to East Asia with the 2020 season kick off of the Chinese Taipei Premier League.
