September

September brought with it the much anticipated return of Asia's premier club competition, the AFC Champions League. The 2020 edition resumed with the teams from the West Zone playing out the remaining fixtures in a centralised format in Qatar.

October

The AFC Champions League (WEST) concluded with IR Iran's Persepolis FC defeating Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr in the semi-final on October 3 and much of the attention for the remainder of the month turned towards the return of the East.

In addition there was a focus on the upcoming Indian Super League season and an AFC Cup Bracket Challenge that captured the imagination and support across Asia.
