Abdullah Al Hamdan joins Al Hilal


Riyadh: Saudi Pro League champions Al Hilal SFC have signed Saudi Arabia international forward Abdullah Al Hamdan.

The 21-year-old Abdullah will join Al Hilal on a free transfer next season as his contract with fellow Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab expires in less than six months.

Al Hamdan started his career with Al Shabab in 2018 and has made huge strides since as he helped Saudi Arabia finish second in the AFC U23 Asian Cup Thailand 2020.

Already a senior international, he was also was on target against Singapore in the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

Al Hilal were drawn on Wednesday in Group A of the 2021 AFC Champions League with UAE's Shabab Al Ahli, Tajikistan league champions Istiklol and the winners of the Playoff match between Qatar's Al Gharafa and Uzbekistan's AGMK.
