Sasalak Haiprakhon joins Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on loan

Kuala Lumpur: Sasalak Haiprakhon has moved to Korea Republic's Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on a six-month loan from Buriram United.

The 25-year-old winger began his professional career with Bangkok United in 2014, before transferring to Buriram three years later, where he was part of the squad that won back-to-back Thai League titles in 2017 and 2018.

Haiprakhon is highly experienced, having also played in the AFC Champions League since 2018, reaching as far as the Round of 16 in the same year.

He is also well known for his exploits with the Thailand national team, where he first served in the U-21 and U-23 teams, and clinched his first SEA Games gold medal with Thailand in 2017, before being called up to the senior team.

He is now part of Akira Nishino's squad as they prepare for the resumption of the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023.

The move will be Haiprakhon's first out of the country, and he will be hoping to learn as much as he can from the record eight-time K League winners.

Jeonbuk are currently third in the standings with 29 points to their name, four behind league leaders Ulsan Hyundai FC.

The Korean champions are also scheduled to kick off their 2021 AFC Champions League Group H campaign on June 25, where they will take on Sydney FC, Gamba Osaka and Tampines Rovers in the centralised venue of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
