Japan edge Korea Republic to retain title

Yongin: A first-half volley from Ryo Germain sealed Japan a 1-0 victory over Korea Republic as they clinched their third EAFF E-1 Football Championship title on Tuesday.

Japan finished top of the group with nine points with Korea Republic  three adrift.

Riyadh: Jorge Jesus has been appointed head coach of Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr Club, taking over the reins from Stefano Pioli.

The Portuguese tactician was previously with Al Nassr’s Saudi Pro League rivals Al Hilal SFC for two seasons in what was his second stint with the Riyadh-based club.
