Italy's Retegui joins Saudi club Al Qadsiah

Paris: Last season's Serie A top goal-scorer Mateo Retegui has joined Al Qadsiah from Atalanta, the Saudi Pro League club announced on Monday.

The 26-year-old scored 25 goals in the league last season having joined Atalanta in 2024.

Glasgow: Japan international forward Shin Yamada has signed for Scottish Premiership champions Celtic from AFC Champions League Elite™ 2024/25 finalists Kawasaki Frontale.

The 25-year-old, who played 12 times as Kawasaki finished runners-up behind Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli Saudi FC in the continental championship, has signed a four-year deal with the club to become the latest Japanese player to make the move.
 
Yamada becomes the fourth Japanese player currently on the Glasgow-based outfit’s books, joining Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Hyato Inamura in the squad.

Dhaka: Bangladesh clinched their fifth SAFF U20 Women’s Championship crown with a commanding 4-0 victory over Nepal on Monday.

Mosammat Sagorika came back from suspension and delivered a masterclass, scoring all four goals to secure a flawless campaign for Peter Butler’s side, who had already beaten Nepal 3-2 in their earlier meeting, following Sagorika’s dismissal.
