Ho Chi Minh: Vietnam coach Chen Yun Fat has emphasised on the need of good and clear plan as well as strong home support in their pursuit of at least qualifying in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015.
Speaking with the Vietnam’s Football Federation official website after the draw for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2014 where they are pitted against the likes of current World champions Japan, defending Asian champions Australia and Jordan in Group A, Chen stressed on being at their best during the championship to stand any chance of qualifications at the global stage.
“We have to be very cautious…in football anything can happen,” Chen said referring the first match against Jordan.
“Although we have beaten them before, past does not matter and I am sure that they will come here as an improved and well prepared team,” he added.
The Vietnam women’s national team are currently having a training camp at Nanjing, China.
The top five teams will enter into the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015. The third-placed team of both the groups will play a playoff match to determine the fifth place.
