Zurich: With seven days to go until the FIFA U-20 World Cup Poland 2019, the announcement of the final squad lists marks another important step on the road to this eagerly awaited tournament.
A total of 504 players have been called up by the 24 participating nations to follow in the footsteps of global stars such as Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba and countless others who first showed the world what they could do at this event.
Asia will be represented by Japan, Korea Republic, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, All eyes now turn to Poland to see which members of the class of 2019 can emulate these legendary players.

Tokyo: Japan have named their squad for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup which is set to start in Poland later this month.
The East Asians lost to eventual winners Saudi Arabia in the semi-finals of last year’s AFC U-19 Championship, and some 13 members of that squad have been retained for the global extravaganza which will see Japan take on Mexico, Italy and Ecuador, who they open their Group B campaign against on May 23.
Rising star Jun Nishikawa – named Most Valuable Player when Japan claimed the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship title – has also been included by head coach Masanaga Kageyama.

Seoul: Korea Republic U-20 head coach Chung Jung-yong announced his squad of 21 players on Thursday ahead of their FIFA U-20 World Cup Poland 2019 campaign, with Valencia CF midfielder Lee Kang-in headlining the roster.
Lee's inclusion is not a surprise as the budding 18-year-old talent - who is the youngest member in the squad - received his senior team call-up in March.
Last October, Lee became the youngest Korea Republic footballer to debut in Europe when he got a start against Ebro in the Round of 32 of the Copa del Rey.

Gydnia: Asia's best learnt their FIFA U-20 World Cup Poland 2019 contenders following the official draw at the Gydnia Arena in Poland on Sunday.
Saudi Arabia, the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship winners, were drawn in Group E with France, Mali and Panama.
Japan, defeated 2-1 by Saudi Arabia in the 2018 AFC U-19 Championship final, will play in Group B with the 1999 runners-up having Mexico, Italy and Ecuador for company.
Korea Republic were drawn in Group F with six-time champions Argentina, twice winners Portugal and South Africa, while 1981 runners-up Qatar, will play in Group D with Nigeria, Ukraine and USA.
