Han: Best yet to come from DPR Korea

Pathum Thani:  DPR Korea head coach Han Chol Hak was not at all surprised by his side’s performance against Jordan in their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ Group B opener on Thursday.

The defending champions proved a class above with hat-trick hero Kang Ryu Mi and her teammates consigning the West Asian side to an 8-0 defeat.

Pathum Thani: DPR Korea signalled their intent to defend their crown by overwhelming Jordan 8-0 in their AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ Group B opener at the Pathum Thani Stadium on Thursday.

The two-time champions, who took a five-goal lead in the first half, put on a masterclass of attacking football as six different players found the back of the net.

Vientiane: Ri Yu Il has no doubt that improvements are needed from his Naegohyang Women’s FC side despite a comfortable 3-0 win against Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26™ quarter-final on Saturday.

The DPR Korea side only had one goal to show despite a dominant opening half with Kim Hye Yong’s 40th minute header giving her team the lead before further efforts from Jong Kum and Kim Kyong Yong after the break added gloss to the final result.

Vientiane: Naegohyang Women’s FC breezed into the semi-finals of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2025/26™ after beating Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC 3-0 in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.

Goals by Kim Hye Yong, Jong Kum and Kim Kyong Yong rewarded the DPR Korea side’s dominant display at the Lao National Stadium KM16 as Ho Chi Minh City failed to find any answers and crashed out.

Gold Coast: Head coach Ri Song Ho's firmness in decision making paved the way for DPR Korea’s 4-0 win over Chinese Taipei as they sealed qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 on Thursday.

Ri decided to send on Ri Hak in place of Choe Il Son in the 31st minute and the switch paid off almost instantly with Hong Song Ok opening their account a minute later.

DPR Korea confirm ticket to global showpiece

Gold Coast: DPR Korea booked their FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027 ticket with a 4-0 win against Chinese Taipei in their playoff at the Gold Coast Stadium on Thursday. 

Hong Song Ok starred with a hat-trick and the victory means DPR Korea will return to the global showpiece for the first time since 2011 while Chinese Taipei’s qualification hopes now depend on advancing past the Inter-Confederation Playoffs later in 2026.
