Adelaide’s impressive start pleases Andrioli

Adelaide: Airton Andrioli could not have asked for more after witnessing his Adelaide United side make a winning start to their campaign in the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ on Thursday.

The 3-0 win against Tai Po FC of Hong Kong, China was made even more remarkable by the fact that the domestic league has yet to start as goals from Ethan Alagich, Juan Muniz and Craig Goodwin put the Australian side top of Group F, two points ahead of Lion City Sailors FC and BG Pathum United.

Kitchee played the final 20 minutes with 10 men after captain Ruslan Mingazow was shown a second yellow card for handling the ball inside the box.

Adelaide: Adelaide United made a winning start to Group F of the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ on Thursday as Airton Andrioli’s side handed Hong Kong Premier League outfit Tai Po a 3-0 defeat at Hindmarsh Stadium.

Ethan Alagich gave Adelaide Untied a 19th minute lead before goals from Juan Muniz and Craig Goodwin in the 48th and 75th minutes respectively confirmed the win for the A-League outfit.
