PS - Group F: FC Jurong (SGP) 1-2 New Taipei City Hang Yuan FC (TPE)

Yangon: New Taipei City Hang Yuan FC kept their AFC Women's Champions League 2026/27™ hopes alive with a 2-1 win over FC Jurong in their Preliminary Stage Group F tie on Thursday.

The side from Chinese Taipei will square off against Myanmar's Ayeyawady FC - Women, who are also on six points, on Sunday to decide the group winners.

Thailand survive Singapore fightback to advance

Bangkok: Thailand advanced to the final of the ASEAN Championship 2026 despite slipping to a 2-1 loss against Singapore in Bangkok on Tuesday as Anthony Hudson’s side completed a 4-3 aggregate win to progress to the two-legged decider.

Kakana Khamyok’s 61st minute penalty proved decisive, the spot-kick levelling the scores after Harhys Stewart had given Singapore a 45th minute lead only for Pansa Hemviboon’s own goal to restore the visitors’ one-goal advantage.

Gavin Lee’s side were unable to find their way through the Thai defence for a third time, however, and Thailand will face either Vietnam or Malaysia in the home-and-away final in their quest for a record-extending eighth title.

PS - Group F: Ayeyawady FC - Women (MYA) 4-0 FC Jurong (SGP)

Yangon: Ayeyawady FC - Women got off to a resounding start in the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage as they outplayed FC Jurong of Singapore 4-0 at the Thuwunna Football Stadium on Monday. 

Myanmar’s Ayeyawady, making their first Continental appearance, dominated their fellow debutants and will look to reproduce their performance against No Limits FC of Lebanon on Thursday while Jurong will look to do better against New Taipei City Hang Yuan FC.

Singapore: Seven-time champions Thailand will take a 3-1 lead into the second leg of their ASEAN Championship 2026 semi-final against Singapore after Anthony Hudson’s side cruised to victory at Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday.

Teerasak Poeiphimai scored twice in the opening 26 minutes to send the visitors on their way to a commanding victory before Shawal Anuar saw his penalty saved for the home side and Seksan Ratree hit Thailand’s third in the 51st minute.

Substitute Ilhan Fandi provided Singapore with a late lifeline through his strike from distance six minutes from time. The teams will meet again in Bangkok on Tuesday with the Singaporeans facing a significant task to advance to the country’s first final since 2012.

Defeat to Hong Kong, China in the winner-takes-all showdown would eliminate the Lions via the head-to-head criterion and extend an absence from Asia’s crown jewel that dates back to their debut in 1984, while sealing back-to-back qualifications for the home side.

Hanoi: Vietnam confirmed their progress to the semi-finals of the ASEAN Championship 2026 on Friday with a 3-1 win over Cambodia as Singapore also advanced after securing a 1-1 draw with Indonesia to take second place in Group A.

The defending champions topped the group with their third win in four group matches, finishing two points ahead of the Singaporeans, who took second place with eight points, one ahead of Indonesia.

Hanoi: Singapore frustrated defending champions Vietnam to draw 0-0 with Kim Sang-sik’s side in Hanoi on Friday to remain in pole position in Group A of the ASEAN Championship 2026 standings as Indonesia picked up a second victory with a 3-0 win over Timor-Leste.

The Vietnamese dominated throughout at My Dinh National Stadium but were unable to find a way past Singapore goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud as the title holders struggled to turn their superiority into clear-cut chances.

Kuala Lumpur: Lion City Sailors have bolstered their attacking ranks with the signing of Guadeloupe international Matthias Phaeton, while Korea Republic defender Ko Myeong-seok has completed a move to Indonesia’s Dewa United.

David Aizawa has also left J.League outfit Vissel Kobe for Division 2 side Oita Trinita on loan, with Melbourne City adding Brazilian midfielder Matheus Rossetto to their squad.

Group A: Singapore stay perfect; roaring start for Indonesia

Singapore: Ilhan Fandi and Song Ui-young were on target as Singapore continued their perfect start to the ASEAN Championship 2026 on Monday with a 2-0 win over Timor-Leste in Group A as Indonesia kicked off their campaign with a 5-1 win over Cambodia in Bogor.

Ilhan, who scored his side’s stoppage time winner against the Cambodians on Friday, put Singapore in front with a perfectly placed header four minutes before the interval at Jalan Besar Stadium.
