Jeddah 2026 cast decided

Jeddah: The AFC Champions League Elite Finals Jeddah 2026™ is set for takeoff following the conclusion of the West Zone's Round of 16 matches on Tuesday.

The quarter-final ties will be played between Thursday and Saturday, with matches to be contested at the King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium.

Pathum Thani: Thailand head coach Nuengrutai Srathongvian cut a dejected figure after her side's 2-1 defeat to Korea Republic in the quarter-finals of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ on Sunday.

The hosts came back strongly to level the score in the second half but conceded in extra time, leaving Nuengrutai heartbroken.

Indonesia were beaten 7-1 by Congo DR while Pakistan were edged 1-0 by Mauritania.

ASEAN Wrap: Buriram, Svay Rieng canter to glory

Kuala Lumpur: Buriram United retained their Thai League title with four matches to spare following a 2-0 win over Ayutthaya United on Sunday.

Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC did the same in Cambodia, winning the title for the third season in a row. Newcastle Jets were held by Adelaide United but maintained their three-point lead in Australia while champions Johor Darul Ta'zim dropped points for the first time this season in the Malaysia Super League.

Pathim Thani: Korea Republic squeezed into the last four of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026™ with a 2-1 win against a spirited Thailand in extra-time in their quarter-final match at the Thammasat Stadium on Sunday.

Park Ju-ha’s 106th minute winner earned Park Youn-jeoun’s side a semi-final meeting with DPR Korea on Wednesday and also booked them a spot at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.

Pathum Thani: Thailand will aim to pull off a major upset when they face Korea Republic in the quarter-finals of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026 on Sunday.

The Southeast Asian side, in qualifying for their only AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup semi-finals at the 2004 edition in China, lost 3-0 to Korea Republic, who went on to claim the first of two continental trophies. 

Their next meeting was at the 2015 edition, also in China, where Thailand again fell 3-0, with the defeat resulting in group stage elimination.

Suita: Bangkok United will take a 1-0 lead into the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ semi-final against Gamba Osaka next week after Totchtawan Sripan’s side defeated the 10-man J1 League outfit at Suita City Football Stadium on Wednesday.

Muhsen Al Ghassani’s 15th minute penalty separates the sides at the halfway point in the tie with Gamba’s efforts to pull level hampered by a 74th minute red card for defender and captain Shinnosuke Nakatani.

The teams will meet again in Rajamangala Stadium next Wednesday with Bangkok United attempting to become the first Thai club to reach the final of the competition.
