Pathum Thani: Bangkok United had to settle for a 2-1 win against Tampines Rovers in their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ quarter-final first leg tie on Thursday.

Goals from Nebojsa Kosovic and Picha Autra gave Bangkok the advantage before Trent Buhagiar reduced the deficit for Tampines to set up an intriguing return leg at the Jalan Besar Stadium next week.

Daniel Ting’s first half goal was cancelled out by Gaku Nawata’s 84th-minute strike as the Japanese side were held off by a firm Ratchaburi defence, ensuring it will be all to play for in next week's second leg in Thailand.

Mazzeo’s header from Marcus Younis’ pinpoint cross in the fifth minute of second-half added time cancelled out Guilherme Bissoli’s stunning 37th minute strike for the visitors at Melbourne Rectangular Stadium on Tuesday to leave the tie finely poised ahead of the return meeting in Thailand next week.

Melbourne: Ben Mazzeo’s late header earned Melbourne City a 1-1 draw with Buriram United on Tuesday to leave their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ Round of 16 clash evenly poised ahead of the second leg in Thailand next week.

Guilherme Bissoli had crashed in an unstoppable strike in the 37th minute at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium to give the Thai League 1 champions the lead but Marcus Younis’ run set up substitute Mazzeo to nod in the equaliser five minutes into stoppage time.
 
Buriram United will be looking to reach the quarter-finals for the second season in a row while Melbourne City will be attempting to extend their first-ever run in the competition’s knockout rounds.

Sydney: Bangkok United head coach Totchtawan Sripan lauded his side’s blistering start in the return leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 tie against Macarthur FC on Thursday, which paved the way for a ticket to the quarter-finals.

Muhsen Al Ghassani scored twice in the first half as the Thai side increased their aggregate advantage to four, with Australia's Macarthur only being able to draw level on the night, which was Totchtawan's only disappointment.

Sydney: Muhsen Al Ghassani scored twice in the first half as Bangkok United confirmed their progress to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ on Thursday with a 2-2 draw against Macarthur FC to complete a 4-2 aggregate win for the Thai side.

Al Ghassani netted in the second and 33rd minutes as Totchtawan Sripan’s side extended their advantage from last week’s first leg before Walter Scott gave the home side a glimmer of hope with a strike from distance four minutes before the interval.

Callum Talbot hit the post for Mile Sterjovski’s side, who pushed in vain for a way back into the game and Harry Sawyer’s 92nd minute goal was not enough to deny Bangkok United a last eight meeting with Singapore's Tampines Rovers FC next month.

Bandung: Ratchaburi confirmed their progress to the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ on Wednesday despite suffering a 1-0 loss against 10-man Persib Bandung at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium.

The Thai League 1 outfit completed a 3-1 aggregate victory over the two legs, with Andrew Jung’s 40th minute goal not enough to deny Worrawoot Srimaka and his team as Uilliam Barros’ sending off undermined Persib’s hopes of salvaging the contest.

Ratchaburi will face either Pohang Steelers or Gamba Osaka in the next round with the pair due to face off on Thursday after sharing a 1-1 draw in the first leg last week.

Adding to the 48-year-old head coach’s delight was the manner in which the win - Buriram’s fourth of the campaign - was achieved as the Thai side advanced from the League Stage for the second successive season.
