Round of 16 cast finalised

Kuala Lumpur: The AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 cast has been decided following the conclusion of Matchday Six of the West Zone on Wednesday.

The teams will know their knockout stage fate when the draw is held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 30.

Dubai: Al Wasl FC closed their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Group A campaign unbeaten when they defeated Al Wehdat 2-1 at the Zabeel Stadium on Wednesday. 

Adryelson’s first half strike was cancelled out by Mostafa Moawad before Fabio Lima ensured the UAE side topped the group with 14 points, with Islamic Republic of Iran's Esteghlal FC also qualifying as the runners-up.

Doha: Hat-trick hero Rafa Mujica attributed self-belief as the key factor for Al Sadd SC’s dramatic 4-2 comeback win over Shabab Al Ahli in their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ tie at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

Trailing 2-0 following goals from Federico Cartabia and Yahya Al Ghassani, Al Sadd appeared on the brink of elimination before Mujica turned the match on its head with a superb treble, with Tarek Salman adding a fourth as the Qatari side registered their first win of the campaign to keep their hopes alive.

Doha: Al Sadd SC staged a stunning fightback as they came from two goals down to beat Shabab Al Ahli 4-2 in their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ tie at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

Goals from Federico Cartabia and Yahya Al Ghassani looked to have secured Shabab Al Ahli their Round of 16 spot but Rafa Mujica struck a hat-trick with Tarek Salman contributing the fourth as Al Sadd registered their first win of the season to their hopes alive.

The result sees the Saudi Pro League side, who confirmed their Round of 16 qualification with three matches to spare, extend their lead at the summit to 18 points, while Sharjah stayed on seven.
