R16 (2nd Leg): Adryelson powers Al Wasl past Al Zawraa

Dubai: Adryelson scored twice as Al Wasl completed a magnificent comeback to defeat Iraq’s Al Zawraa SC 4-2 after extra-time in the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 tie on Tuesday.

UAE’s Al Wasl advanced 6-5 on aggregate, with Adryelson first drawing them level in the third minute of added time and then scoring again in the 109th minute to take his team to a quarter-final showdown with either Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr Club or FK Arkadag of Turkmenistan.

Amman: Al Hussein came from behind to defeat Islamic Republic of Iran's Esteghlal FC 3-2 in the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 on Tuesday.

The Jordanian side advanced 4-2 on aggregate and will meet either Iran’s Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan SC or Al Ahli SC of Qatar in the quarter-finals.

Doha: Al Ittihad Club turned in a dominant performance to beat Al Sadd SC 4-1 in their final AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ tie at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

The Saudi Arabia side finished fourth in the West Zone standings with Al Saad also qualifying after taking the last Round of 16 spot following fellow Qatari side Al Gharafa SC’s defeat to Tractor FC.

Al Rayyan: Al Gharafa SC’s hopes of reaching the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ Round of 16 ended in tatters following a 2-0 defeat to Tractor FC on Tuesday.

The opportunity to earn qualification was there to be taken following fellow Qatari side Al Sadd SC’s 4-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad Club but Pedro Martins’ side could not raise their game to find the much needed three points.

Victory for Tractor saw the Islamic Republic of Iran side finish third in the standings on 17 points, setting up a Round of 16 tie against United Arab Emirates’ Shabab Al Ahli.

Iskandar Puteri: Marcos Guilherme hit the only goal of the game as Johor Darul Ta’zim booked their place in the last 16 of the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over J1 League outfit Vissel Kobe at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

The Brazilian netted with 17 minutes remaining to earn Xisco Munez’s side a win against a Kobe side that has already qualified for the next phase and the result moves the Malaysian club onto 11 points from their eight league matches.

The result means JDT, who also featured in the Round of 16 last season, can finish no lower than eighth in the standings ahead of Wednesday’s remaining games in the East Zone's League Stage.
