Milicic satisfied with China PR showing, Kulbyte looks to the future

Sydney: Ante Milicic applauded his China PR squad as they marched into the quarter-finals of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ with a 3-0 win against Uzbekistan in their second Group B fixture at the Western Sydney Stadium on Friday.

Following the 2-0 victory in their opening game against Bangladesh, Milicic stuck to his word of juggling the starting line-up, fielding as many as nine new faces.

A much-changed China PR still proved too strong for Uzbekistan with the result also confirming DPR Korea’s progress to the knockout stage, with the two East Asian sides to meet on Monday to decide the group winners.
