Doha: Al Nassr Club seized the Saudi Pro League top spot back with an impressive win against Al Hazem as Al Hilal SFC were held.

Al Sadd SC moved clear in the Qatar Stars League while the UAE Pro League is set for an exciting conclusion with Shabab Al Ahli and Al Ain involved in a thrilling race.

R16 (2nd Leg): Adryelson powers Al Wasl past Al Zawraa

Dubai: Adryelson scored twice as Al Wasl completed a magnificent comeback to defeat Iraq’s Al Zawraa SC 4-2 after extra-time in the second leg of their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 tie on Tuesday.

UAE’s Al Wasl advanced 6-5 on aggregate, with Adryelson first drawing them level in the third minute of added time and then scoring again in the 109th minute to take his team to a quarter-final showdown with either Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr Club or FK Arkadag of Turkmenistan.

Baghdad: Al Shorta - much to Al Duhail SC’s dismay - ended their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ campaign on a high with a 3-2 win against the Qatari outfit on Monday.

Senegal’s Bouly Sambou netted twice in the second half to power Iraq’s Al Shorta to the first win of their campaign, a result which left Al Duhail’s Round of 16 hopes hanging in the air.

Baghdad: Al Duhail SC’s Round of 16 hopes were left hanging by a thread following a 3-2 defeat to Al Shorta in their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ tie on Monday.

The defeat left Qatar’s Al Duhail seventh in the West Zone standings on eight points but they will be denied progression if fellow Qatari sides win their concluding League Stage matches on Tuesday.

Al Shorta, who came from behind to clinch victory, signed off in style with the Iraqi side notching their first win in the final match of their campaign.

Baghdad: Iraq’s Al Zawraa SC fought back to defeat Al Wasl FC of the United Arab Emirates 3-2 in their AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Round of 16 first leg tie on Tuesday.

Brayan Riascos starred with a second half brace to give Al Zawraa a lead to defend in next week’s return leg with Husam Fawzi’s side chasing a first quarter-final appearance.

Fergana: Moamen Soliman heaped praise on his Al Shorta side after they fought back to hold PFC Nasaf to a 1-1 draw in their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ match at Istiqlol Stadium on Monday.

The Egyptian saw his charges overcome tiredness from a gruelling journey with his planned half-time triple change with the introduction of Abdoul Magid Boubacar, Shareef Kadhim and Bassam Shakir worked in favour of his Iraqi outfit.

Fergana: Iraq’s Al Shorta came from behind to force a 1-1 stalemate with PFC Nasaf in their AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ tie at the Istiklol Stadium on Monday.

The result, however, meant the Iraqi side joined Nasaf in being eliminated from the competition.

Nasaf, who had already been eliminated prior to the match, collected their first point after having suffered defeats in their earlier six games.
