Qualifiers - Group D: Afghanistan 1-4 Tajikistan; Bahrain 1-2 Jordan

Isa Town: Jordan scored in the dying seconds to beat Bahrain 2-1 and claim their second Group D win at the AFC U20 Asian Cup China 2027™ Qualifiers on Thursday.

Saoud Abu Zaid’s injury-time goal put Ibrahim Jaber’s side three points clear at the top and primed to make their fifth consecutive final.

Tajikistan defeated Afghanistan 4-1 in the earlier meeting and will take on Jordan on Sunday while Bahrain will aim for victory against Afghanistan, with only the group winners assured of advancing automatically.

Uzbekistan 2027 hopefuls discover qualification path

Kuala Lumpur: Teams aiming to vie for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2027™ title discovered their Qualifiers challenge following the Draw at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.

The 35 teams were divided into seven groups of five to contest a single round-robin centralised league for the qualifying rounds that run from November 8 to 20, 2026.

The seven group winners will join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 who have automatically qualified - Australia, China PR, Japan (defending champions), Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam - in the Finals.

Hisor: Sara Didar netted twice as Bam Khatoon FC came from behind to beat Jordan’s Etihad Club 3-1 on Sunday and qualify for the Group Stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™.

The side from the Islamic Republic of Iran topped Group E with seven points to earn their third consecutive Group Stage appearance while Etihad Club, who were in with a chance coming into the match, closed three points adrift.

Kuala Lumpur: The FIFAe Continental Championship 2026 by AFC concluded on Saturday with India crowned the inaugural eFootball Mobile champions after edging Japan in the Final.

Thailand also secured their place at the FIFAe Finals 2026 after defeating Jordan in the 2nd Chance Final, joining finalists India and Japan on the global stage.

For Jordan, their campaign continued through the Intercontinental Playoffs, where they defeated New Zealand in straight games to reach the FIFAe Finals.

Hisor: Etihad Club are a win away from a spot in the group stage of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ after outplaying Tajikistan’s FC CSKA Dushanbe 5-1 on Thursday. 

The Jordanian side will have to overcome Bam Khatoon of Islamic Republic of Iran in their final Group E Preliminary Stage match on Sunday to qualify while twice-defeated Dushanbe will play Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr Club for pride.
