Singapore's AFC Grassroots Charter gold membership renewed

Singapore: The Football Association of Singapore (FAS)'s continued efforts to strengthen its grassroots football landscape have been recognised with the renewal of its gold level membership under the acclaimed Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Charter.

First bestowed with the honour in 2022, the endorsement comes after members of the AFC Grassroots Panel visited the FAS headquarters last month to conduct strategic meetings and observe the various initiatives implemented across the Southeast Asian nation to encourage wider participation in the beautiful game.

Held annually on May 23, this year's events once again coincided with FIFA's World Football Week, reinforcing the AFC's support for the United Nations' Football for the Goals initiative and its shared commitment to advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through football.
