Malaysian Minister for Youth and Sports visits AFC House

Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Minister for Youth and Sports YB Puan Hannah Yeoh visited the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) House on Friday where she was hosted by AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John.

The AFC General Secretary, who was accompanied by the AFC Management, congratulated YB Puan Hannah Yeoh on her appointment as only the second woman to helm the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports and thanked her office for the enduring partnership established over the years with the AFC.

Melbourne: Australia head coach Leah Blayney will assemble her best talents for a 10-day training camp as part of their preparations for the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2024™ Qualifiers.

Blayney will call 28 players for the Werribee camp in Melbourne, which will take place on February 13-22.

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s commitment to enhance the talent pool of the Continent’s match officials was further strengthened on Thursday with the conclusion of three landmark development initiatives which were held concurrently.

The three courses – the AFC Referees Recruitment 2023 for both Men’s Football and Futsal held from January 16 to 18, as well as the AFC Women Referees & Assistant Referees Selection 2023 conducted from January 16 to 19 – were designed to ensure the Confederation remained at the forefront of developing world-class match officials.
