EAFF raises awareness on Child Safeguarding at EAFF U15 Women's Championship

Dalian: The East Asian Football Federation (EAFF), in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), took a significant step forward in enhancing its child safeguarding measures when it conducted its inaugural Child Safeguarding Seminar from August 17 to 18, 2024 in the port city of Dalian in China PR.

Hosted during the EAFF U15 Women's Championship 2024, the event was also supported by tournament hosts, the Chinese Football Association (CFA), and was attended by footballers and officials from all 10 Member Associations (MAs) of the East region. - China PR, Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea, Guam, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Korea Republic, Macau, Mongolia and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Ikeda steps down as Japan head coach

Tokyo: Japan Football Association has confirmed that Futoshi Ikeda has left his post as head coach of the women’s national team following the end of his contract.

Ikeda took over from Asako Takakura in 2021 and left after having taken charge of Japan at the recent Paris Olympics 2024.
