AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 conducted in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur: Futsal development in Malaysia continued to progress as the AFC Futsal Coaching Certificate Course Level 1 concluded on March 13 in Malaysia.

The six-day course saw 23 participants including police officers, inspectors and chiefs from the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) gain insights through both theory and practical sessions on the latest in futsal development before becoming certified as newly-minted coaches at the Pulapol Police Headquarters and the Setapak KSL Futsal Sport Centre.

Futsal match officials strengthen fitness and knowledge ahead of busy 2020

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) reinforced its commitment to raise the standards of futsal match officials in Asia after successfully conducting the Futsal Referees Seminar and Futsal Referee Instructors Seminar.

The participants benefitted from the seminars in preparation for the upcoming season where a strong line-up of AFC futsal competitions are scheduled, including the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 from February 26 to March 8.

AFC concludes first-ever Futsal & Beach Soccer Assessment visit to Oman

Muscat: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted its first-ever Futsal and Beach Soccer Assessment visit to Oman, a country which could potentially host future competitions in West Asia.

The AFC delegation team were welcomed by the Oman Football Association (OFA) President HE Shaikh Salem Said Salem Al Wahaibi, who said that the sport has continuously improved in recent years: “Under the supervision of the AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, football, beach soccer and futsal have developed rapidly in Asia.

“Futsal and beach soccer have become a popular sport in the world, and we request the AFC to assist us in developing the sport in Oman.”

He added that the OFA is looking at ways to organise domestic futsal and beach soccer tournaments and leagues with the cooperation of the OFA and AFC.

Turkmenistan hosts Goalkeeper Coaching Course Level 1

Ashgabat: The importance of goalkeeping was highlighted in the AFC Goalkeeper Coaching Course Level 1 which successfully concluded at the Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT) Hall on Monday.

Berdimyrat Nurmyradov, the Technical Director of FFT, highlighted the importance of the course as Turkmenistan prepares to host the AFC Futsal Championship 2020 for the first time from February 26 to March 8.
