Jung, Ludwigson leave Ulsan

Ulsan: Former Asian champions Ulsan HD have announced the departure of Korea Republic international Jung Woo-young and Swedish midfielder Gustav Ludwigson ahead of the club’s return to the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26™ next month.

Jung, who joined Ulsan midway through the 2024 season, had revealed in December that he would be leaving the club and the two-time AFC Champions League winners confirmed the 38-year-old’s exit on Saturday.

Kuala Lumpur: Al Ahli Saudi FC lifted the newly-minted AFC Champions League Elite™ trophy with a well-deserved 2-0 win against Japan's Kawasaki Frontale in the final played in front of more than 58,000 fans at Jeddah's King Abdullah Sports City Hall Stadium.

It was the Saudi Arabian side's first AFC Champions League Elite title and came on the back of a swashbuckling run that saw them complete their campaign undefeated.

Kuala Lumpur: Wuhan Jiangda Women’s FC emerged the winners of the AFC Women's Champions League 2024/25™ after a thrilling defeat of Melbourne City FC in the final.

With the final ending 1-1 after extra time at the Wuhan Sports Centre Stadium, the China PR side showed nerves of steel in the penalty shootout to carve a 5-4 win to become the inaugural champions.

The win also meant Wuhan Jiangda sealed their place in the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026.

Kuala Lumpur: Australia striker Mitchell Duke has signed for AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ participants Macarthur FC after announcing his departure from Japan’s FC Machida Zelvia on Saturday.

The 34-year-old confirmed his three-year spell with the J1 League outfit had come to an end in a post on social media before A-League outfit Macarthur revealed the former Central Coast Mariners and Shimizu S-Pulse forward would be making a return to Australia.
