Preview - Preliminary Stage: Matchday Two

Kuala Lumpur: Matchday 2 of the AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage will see teams doing their best towards securing qualification to the Group Stage.

Only the six group winners will advance to join defending champions Naegohyang Women’s FC of DPR Korea, Melbourne City FC (AUS), Hwacheon KSPO WFC (KOR), INAC Kobe Leonessa (JPN), Beijing Jingtan Football Club (CHN) and Ho Chi Minh City Women’s FC (VIE) in the Group Stage, leaving no room for error for the 24 sides in action on Thursday.

Kuala Lumpur: The 32-strong cast for the AFC Champions League Two 2026/27™ discovered their opponents following the Group Stage Draw in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Tuesday.

The 22nd edition of Asia’s second-tier men’s competition will kick off its thrilling group battles - to be played in a home-and-away round-robin format - on September 15.

Qarshi: Uzbekistan’s PFC Nasaf were at their best as they cruised 11-0 past Master FC of Laos in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage tie on Monday.

Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva starred with a hat-trick as Nasaf opened their Group C campaign in style ahead of their clash against Bhutan’s Royal Thimphu College on Thursday, while Master will be hoping for a change in fortunes when they face Banaat FC of United Arab Emirates.

Hisor: Bam Khatoon FC put on a commanding performance to beat Tajikistan’s FC CSKA Dushanbe 3-0 in their AFC Women’s Champions League 2026/27™ Preliminary Stage clash on Monday.

The Islamic Republic of Iran side took a two-goal lead in the first half and wrapped up the match after keeping a resurgent Dushanbe in check to get their Group E campaign off to a confident start.
