Figueroa bids farewell to Johor Darul Ta'zim

Kuala Lumpur: Luciano Figueroa has resigned as team manager at 2020 AFC Champions League participants Johor Darul Ta’zim, the club announced on Wednesday, after playing a key role both on and off the pitch in the club’s golden era of domestic and international success.

The former Argentina international said he was stepping down from his role for personal reasons after more than six years with the club, where he served as a player, manager and ambassador during a run that saw JDT win the AFC Cup in 2015.

Nepal to face Bangladesh in November friendlies

Lalitpur: Nepal will play Bangladesh next month in what will be both teams’ first matches of the year, since January, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two friendlies have been scheduled during the November 11-19 FIFA international window with the matches to be played in Dhaka.

Manila: General manager Paul Tolentino has fired a warning to Kaya FC-Iloilo’s rivals ahead of the 2020 Philippines Football League (PFL), asserting that the Lions will be even better this season.

Kaya FC-Iloilo, whose 2020 AFC Cup campaign was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will play Stallion Laguna FC in their season opener on Sunday.
