Group G: Incheon United FC (KOR) 0-2 Shandong Taishan FC (CHN)

Incheon: Substitute Cryzan scored within three minutes of his introduction to send Chinese Super League side Shandong Taishan on their way to a 2-0 win over hosts Incheon United and move level on points with the K-League side in Group G of the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 on Wednesday.

Cryzan struck from distance in the 58th minute after being introduced for Li Yuanyi as his arrival swung the game in Shandong’s favour and boosted his club’s hopes of taking a place in the knockout rounds.

Marouane Fellaini then added a second three minutes from time to take Shandong onto six points from their first three games, handing Incheon their first loss of the campaign in the process following opening wins over Yokohama F Marinos and Kaya FC-Iloilo.

Group G: Yokohama F. Marinos (JPN) 3-0 Kaya FC-Iloilo (PHI)

Yokohama: Japan’s Yokohama F. Marinos were made to work hard by Kaya FC-Iloilo of the Philippines before eventually running out 3-0 winners in their AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 match on Wednesday.

The Marinos now have six points after three matches in Group G and will fancy their chances of another win when the two sides meet again on November 7 in the reverse fixture in Manila.

Hong Kong: Thailand's Bangkok United completed a third comeback victory in a row in the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 with a 2-1 win over Kitchee SC in Wednesday's Group F tie at Hong Kong Stadium.

Jakob Jantscher got the hosts off to the perfect start with his sixth minute opener, but Rungrath Phumichantuk levelled things on the stroke of half-time before Willen completed the turnaround after he scored from the penalty spot early in the second half.
 
The visitors had to defend their lead with a numerical disadvantage for the final six minutes of normal time after Bassel Jradi’s sending off, but Totchtawan Sripan’s men were able to hold on for the three points.

Jeonju: Korea Republic’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors got their AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 campaign back on track by defeating Lion City Sailors 3-0 in Group F at Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Wednesday.

Jun Amano opened the scoring for Jeonbuk against the Singaporean outfit in the fifth minute before a Lionel Tan own goal doubled their lead. Moon Seon-min then added a third in the second half to seal the K League 1 side’s second win in three matches.

Zhejiang: China PR’s Zhejiang FC revived their AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 hopes after defeating Ventforet Kofu of Japan 2-0 in their Group H encounter at the Huzhou Olympic Sports Center on Wednesday.

Lucas Possignolo scored the opener before Nyasha Mushekwi struck in the second half to seal Zhejiang’s first win of their campaign.

Buriram: Melbourne City FC emerged 2-0 winners over Buriram United in Group H of the AFC Champions League™ 2023/24, thanks to a clinical display in front of goal on Wednesday night at the Buriram Stadium.

While they had glimpses of goal aside from the two chances they converted, Buriram United were better on the pitch than Arthur Papastamatis’ men for long periods of play, but ultimately what counted for Austrialians was Jamie Maclaren’s and Alessandro Lopane’s clinical touch in front of goal.

Al Ain: Head coach Alfred Schreuder was pleased with his team's focus and resilience after Al Ain defeated Al Fayha 4-1 in Group A of the AFC Champions League™ 2023-24 on Tuesday.

A brace from Kaku and Kouame Kouaido's effort gave Al Ain a comfortable lead before Nawaf Al Harthi capitalised on a late error by Khalid Eisa to score for Al Fayha. 
 
Soufiane Rahimi, however, netted Al Ain's fourth in the 90th minute as the United Arab Emirates side maintained their perfect start to the campaign.

Oniki expects higher standards from Kawasaki

Ulsan: Hong Myung-bo was extremely proud to see Ulsan Hyundai overcome adversity to claim a 3-1 win over Johor Darul Ta’zim in their AFC Champions League™ 2023/24 Group I match on Tuesday.

The Korean side raced to a 3-0 lead after only 18 minutes but Kim Tae-hwan’s sending off in the 36th minute threatened to derail their chances of winning the game.

However, despite the Malaysian side pulling one back through Bergson at the start of the second half, the Tigers maintained their composure to see out the game.
