The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has taken note of the Chinese Football Association (CFA)’s confirmation of the withdrawal of Shanghai Port FC from the AFC Champions League 2022™.
The AFC acknowledged the travel restrictions faced by Shanghai Port FC as a result of the recent lockdown measures enforced in Shanghai, China PR and the matter will now be referred to the relevant AFC Committees.

Preview - Group B: Air Force Club (IRQ) v Mumbai City (IND)
Riyadh: Hakeem Shakir has warned that Air Force Club will not hold back against debutants Mumbai City of India when the sides clash in Group B of the AFC Champions League™ 2022 at the King Fahd International Stadium on Monday.
Air Force Club were victorious on Matchday One, beating UAE’s Al Jazira 2-1, while newcomers Mumbai City suffered a 3-0 defeat to Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab.
